My new "hobby"

I have always loved finding deals when I just so happened to run across them...like the other day at the mall I was buying Landon a 4 piece set outfit for Easter. On sale it was going to be like $9, which is a pretty good deal; however, it rang up for $4.19!!! I was soooo excited!!!

Now, I have moved beyond just happening to find deals, but actually looking for them! I am currently following a friend's blog www.spendfreely.blogspot.com which has taught me sooo much about saving money and getting things for almost nothing! I went out on a shopping adventure on Saturday and I want to share a couple of my finds:

Walgreens
*Bic Solei razors for free, plus I earned $.47
*Colgate toothpaste for $.25
*Degree deodorant (one for Sam and one for me), I got both for $2!
*M&M's-2 bags for $3

Publix
*Spray n Wash Max for $.50
*Tropicana Orange Juice for $.50
*2 baby wipe refills for $1.25 each

Just to name a few....hope this encourages you to go find some deals!!!!

My Little Leprechaun

While I don't necessarily "celebrate" St. Patrick's Day....I did dress my kids in green today....I ran into a consignment store last week and couldn't resist this little 4 leaf clover outfit for Madelyn...also couldn't resist the green hair bow! She is finally sitting up on her own and getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth. I also noticed yesterday that her 2 bottom teeth have poked through!

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom's birthday is today (she also shares it with her twin sister Michele)...we had a nice dinner and I made a homemade cheesecake. This my first attempt at a cheesecake so I wasn't thrilled with the way it looked...however the consensus was that it tasted awesome!!!! My kids were soooo excited that it was "nana's birthday" but disappointed that "everyone" didn't come for the party....I guess they thought all of their friends would join us. Landon also asked my dad where his uncle was....we finally figured out that he was asking about Uncle Adam. He wanted Adam to come for Nana's party....maybe next time! Just wanted to share a few pics of our celebration tonight. I am so thankful for such a great Mom!

What is Happening Now...

I saw this on someones blog and I thought it was cute....

Outside my window
. . . it is dark, but the windows are open and I am enjoying the night fresh air...

I am thinking
. . . that tomorrow morning is going to be hectic...Sunday mornings always are around my house...

I am thankful for. .
. so many things...salvation, family, healthy children, great friends

From the kitchen. .
. clothes washing in the washing machine

I am wearing. .
. my pjs....

I am reading. .
. actually I just finished the book "Multiple Blessings" by Kate Gosselin and thoroughly enjoyed it!

I am hoping. .
. to make a difference in the lives of people God places in my path...

I am hearing. .
. the ceiling fan rattling a little...

Around the house. .
. toys are on the floor, few dishes in the sink...it is never ending!

One of my favorite things
. . . talking and laughing with my husband after the kids are in bed...I don't get much adult conversation being a stay at home mom of 4 kids 5 and under!!!

A few plans for the rest of the week. . .
tomorrow is church-my moms birthday is on Tuesday and I am cooking her dinner and making her a birthday cake!

SNOW!

Finally, on the first day of March it has snowed! I didn't tell the boys it was going to snow until after church this morning. It rained all day yesterday and up until about 4:30pm today. We opened the blinds and the snow was pouring from the sky! The boys were soooo excited! Ashlyn, on the other hand was "scared" of the snow. When we came out of church tonight someone had made a snowman right next to the sidewalk and she was terrified...When we got home from church the boys immediately started playing in the snow. Even more exciting is that there is no school tomorrow!
